Shanghai Seeyao Electronics Co., Ltd. was established in April 2002. It was transformed from the Shanghai Automotive Electronics Engineering Center jointly built by the Shanghai Institute of Metallurgy of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (now Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology) and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group) Co., Ltd. It is one of the earliest pilot units for industry-university-research cooperation in China.
The company mainly engages in the research and development, production and sales of automotive-grade LEDs, automotive sensors, controllers, actuators, LED modules and other products. Its products are mainly applied to mainstream vehicle models at home and abroad.
Since 2004, the company has been continuously recognized as a "Shanghai High-tech Enterprise". In 2019, it was rated as a "Shanghai Municipal Enterprise Technology Center". It has won the Gold Award of the Advanced Manufacturing Comprehensive Strength Award of Jiading District for many consecutive years. In 2020, it was awarded the title of "Shanghai Model Enterprise for Harmonious Labor Relations". In 2023, it was honored as a "Shanghai Specialized, Refined, Unique and Innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprise". The company has participated in and completed many national and Shanghai science and technology projects. Among them, the "Independent Research and Development of LED Automotive Lamps" project won the second prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, and the "Independent Development of Automotive Electronic Signal Lights" project won the third prize of the "Automotive Industry Science and Technology Progress Award Fund Committee".
The company has a CNAS-certified electromagnetic compatibility and environmental laboratory, an authorized and recognized automotive LED packaging factory by LUMILEDS, and has passed the ASPICE CL3 automotive software process improvement and capability certification, IATF16949 quality management system certification, ISO140001 environmental management system certification, and ISO45001 occupational health and safety management system certification, etc.
